About

We navigate reality through maps—fragile yet persistent reflections of a world infinitely more complex. Today's idea of AI, through LLMs, adeptly explores territories we've charted yet remains bounded by edges of pre-existing knowledge. What lies beyond these borders? Can AI perceive its epistemic boundaries and bravely venture forth, uncovering pathways previously unseen?

Adaptive Recursive Convergence (ARC) achieves internal clarity by recursively refining understanding until knowledge stabilizes into epistemic certainty.

Concurrently, Cascading Re-dimensional Attention (CRA) preserves external coherence by continually evaluating alignment between internal comprehension and environmental complexity. ARC seeks to wholly grasp a problem's essence, refining and clarifying it, while CRA examines contextual influences shaping and complicating the issue.

Currently, my exploration centers on a speculative yet essential third pillar—consciousness, or meaning itself—poetically and as a form of artistic expression only: "man versus god." Meaning provides a new perspective that enables concepts like credence and significance into measurable qualities. This perspective guides the deliberate uncovering and prioritization of some possible new pathways, when "pathways previously unseen" are necessary.

My hypothesis is that intelligence is not merely a spectrum from zero to some maximum. I propose that observable, measurable intelligence—whether biological or not—rests on foundational principles, unlike the partial forms of observable intelligence seen in non-human animals on Earth. Consequently, achieving such intelligence, regardless of its origin, may require first understanding how to identify and measure these foundations, rather than progressing incrementally along a linear path toward general intelligence.

This perspective broadly aligns with a core insight of second-order cybernetics: understanding complex systems—especially minds—the observer must join the system, using recursive, self-aware inquiry.

All reflections shared here arise from independent professional inquiry. They represent my own analysis, reasoning, and research interests alone. Nothing on this profile should be interpreted as expressing, implying, or aligning with the strategies, policies, or official positions of any current or former employer, client, collaborator, or affiliated institution. I am a 1.75-generational U.S. citizen with an active U.S. passport.

The underlying platform and associated pilots are currently paused as part of a broader governance and organizational realignment, with the technical architecture and research outcomes preserved in a suspended state pending reactivation.

For the past 18 months, I architected and deployed a production-grade AI reasoning system that performs recursive inference over high-fidelity knowledge graphs, transforming natural-language questions into traceable, confidence-scored outputs. This work combined foundational research with real-world deployment, partnering with global development organizations to analyze large program and survey datasets under operational constraints. In a pilot, I built RAG-enabled knowledge graphs and graph-based prediction pipelines to detect structural patterns, data gaps, and early signals of program effectiveness in sparse, unstructured, and heterogeneous data. These systems enabled organizations to extract actionable insight and scenario-level forecasts despite limited data density and significant staffing volatility. The underlying platform and associated pilots are currently paused as part of a broader governance and organizational realignment, with the technical architecture and research outcomes preserved in a suspended state pending reactivation.
⦁ This system implements my ARC (Adaptive Recursive Convergence) and CRA (Cascading Re-dimensional Attention) framework. Using structured memory and deliberate prioritization, it recursively decomposes queries and rebuilds answers, tuning complexity by epistemic adequacy—contract when coherent, expand when context is thin—guided by significance gradients, not probability.
⦁ I built this on Neo4j as the native reasoning layer: I designed schemas for temporal, causal, and predictive links, then used Graph Data Science for pattern recognition, similarity scoring, and in-graph counterfactual analysis. It’s a second-order layer on top of traditional RAG.
⦁ I also maintain minimal reference implementations of ARC/CRA concepts via the Semantic Turning Point Detector.
⦁ I began creating educational and technical content on YouTube in 2008. My channel has since reached millions of viewers worldwide: youtube.com/elphaphoenix

I was fascinated by the complexity of music theory and the precision of pitch, leading me to uncover the deep link between music and math. This sparked a curiosity that drove me to further explore these interests.

Fueled by this curiosity, I disassembled various electronic devices, each with its own unique circuitry, though their inner workings were still enigmatic to me. The programming language from these devices was initially confusing, but I eventually understood its role in directing computer operations. I found the efficient multitasking of operating systems fascinating, despite not fully understanding the underlying software.

Driven by my thirst for knowledge, I chose a major that matched my passions, broadening my understanding and allowing me to delve deeper into these intriguing subjects.

This project introduces the Adaptive Recursive Convergence (ARC) and Cascading Re-Dimensional Attention (CRA) frameworks—a unified approach to building multi-stage, self-verifying reasoning systems capable of breaking down complex tasks into tractable components.

At their core, ARC/CRA address a fundamental limitation in modern AI: fixed-representation models cannot reliably adapt when complexity escalates or when the semantic landscape exceeds the expressive capacity of the current layer of reasoning.

ARC handles the inward dimension of the problem—coordinating recursive refinement across multiple reasoning threads using a shared atomic memory. It applies contraction-mapping logic to ensure each step becomes more precise, and uses a lightweight complexity oracle (χ) to determine whether the current abstraction remains adequate for the task.

When the system detects representational saturation, the process transitions to CRA, which evaluates each reasoning fragment through a “retro-mask”—a post-inference epistemic quality check.

Together, ARC + CRA create a closed-loop architecture that expands its own representational dimensionality only when necessary, enabling adaptive reasoning rather than brute-force parameter scaling.

The Semantic Turning Point Detector (STP) is included as a deliberately minimal demonstration of the ARC/CRA machinery—a simple, didactic implementation showing how even small models gain stable, repeatable semantic-shift detection when guided by structured recursive reasoning instead of raw model size.

This work reframes intelligence as adaptive introspection: systems able to map their own epistemic boundaries, verify their intermediate conclusions, and restructure their reasoning space when the problem demands more dimensionality than the initial manifold provides.

The full manuscript—currently under editorial consideration and available as a preprint—formalizes these concepts with mathematical rigor viewable at: zi-ping.com/preprint

The end result is an open-source project that is now available on GitHub, NPM, and yarn.

LinkedIn Badges is a React component that allows you to create custom LinkedIn badges with various options for personalization, including locale, size, theme, type, vanity, and version. 🎨 It also supports entity badges and provides the flexibility to go beyond LinkedIn's default options. 💪 The badge container rendering is separated from dynamic badge content rendering for better code organization and non-blocking rendering of multiple badges. 🔨 You can try it out today or view a demo through the attached media links below. 🚀 React component renders LinkedIn Badges faster and more controlled than the default method.

How to get started with utilizing this LinkedInBadge as a React component? Well, simply ask LinkedIn's AI and it will tell you.

Question: How do I use the React LinkedIn Badge by Ziping?
Answer from LinkedIn AI: To use 'react-linkedinbadge', first install it via npm by running 'npm install react-linkedinbadge' in your project directory. Then, import it into your React component and use it to display Linkedin badges with customization options like locale, size, theme, type, vanity, and version for profile and entity badges. This allows for asynchronous and non-blocking rendering of multiple badges, enhancing performance and user experience.
